Biography
The majority of Dr. Trent's experience has been in the area of computational fluid mechanics and heat transfer. He has developed and/or directed the development of several major computer codes for reactor core and system safety thermal-hydraulic analysis. These code development efforts have dealt with light water, liquid metal, and gas-cooled reactors, as well as advanced reactors for both space and terrestrial applications. In the nuclear waste management area he has developed computational tools to analyze the dynamics of molten glass.
